The best makeup for your skin type

Depending on your skin tone, the makeup you choose should complement your face and hair. If you apply the wrong colours, it could make you look washed out. Different seasons call for different shades of makeup. In the summer, if you have a tan, your makeup may need to be up to two shades darker. Likewise, you may need to lighten things up for winter.
Everyone is unique. You don't have to follow all of the rules. Try new colours and check your makeup in natural light so you can see clearly how it looks.
Fair Skin
If you're fair-skinned, pure colours look best on you. Apply light earth tones and soft pastels, such as blue and lavender to flatter your eyes.
Numerous shades of pink will look good on your eyes, cheeks and lips. Keep your mascara to brown or black. Light lipstick adds a finishing touch. Peach is always a good choice for our fair-skinned girls, it looks natural and compliments blonde hair well.
 Medium Toned Skin
Your warmer completion gives you many options for an excellent makeover. Being medium skin toned definitely has its benefits. Deep matte earth tones and jewel colours such as hunter green, dark grey, beige and brown will accent your eyes. Coral and plum colours work good to emphasize your cheekbones.
Experiment with your lip colour. Your skin tone is very adaptable and if you're brunette, anything from pink to red will look great on you. Top it off with lip gloss and bronzing powder dusted over your forehead, nose and cheeks will give you the ultimate sun-kissed look.

Makeup for Dark Skin

For eye shadow, grey, brown and natural shades will compliment your eyes. Also try shimmer colours such as silver, bronze, and Terra-cotta. Experiment with mascara colors such as navy and dark purple. For blush, more pigment for darker skin is a must. Deep rose and apricot shades highlight your cheekbones beautifully. Sometimes a bronze highlighter does the trick. Stay away from anything with a strong orange base as this tends not to flatter your skin.Dark lip color such as apricot, blackberry, caramel and red will compliment your lips.

Olive Skin Tones

With your darker skin tone, neutral shades as well as dark purple and blue will look great on your eyes. Metallic colours also look notable, as long as the shades remain darker.
Highlight your cheekbones with bronzing powder, dark plum, chestnut, or terra-cotta blush. Keep the tones natural and avoid anything too light.
Lipstick shades that will bring out your lips are berry, plum, chocolate, or almond.

Christmas Playsuit

Yet another lovely outfit from Topshop. Now the price for this is a little steep at £46 but it is amazing! This is my Christmas outfit and I am wearing it with some opaque black tights to keep me warm and some black heels. These are not the exact heels I am wearing but these are similar with the ankle strap. It has a lovely peter pan lace clolour which I love as I love anything with a peter pan collar!
Simple yet pretty in my opinion and perfect for any Christmas Parties coming up or something you can wear to a dinner party.

Peter Pan Collar Christmas Outfit

This is a gorgeous dress I came across while doing some online shopping. It is from Topshop and at £36 it is not a bad price as their are so many places to wear this and so may ways to dress this up and down. I will put some pictures on when I get it to show you how I am going to wear it.
Now it is perfect for a Christmas party with the 3/4 sleeves so you are staying winter like and classy and with the added sparkles it gives you the feeling of Christmas. It looks sophisticated and stylish!

Now I have one of these gorgeous Peter Pan collars which can be bought from www.dollybowbow.co.uk
Now they come in multi coloured or black but since this dress is already black then I think the multi coloured peter pan collar would go lovely with it. It fits perfect around the top of the dress as it is a high neck therefore the peter pan collar instantly completes the dress.

They can be bought from Dolly Bow bow for just £10.00 which is a bargain as these can be worn with literally anything that is a round or high neck. Another great thing about these is that the chain can be altered to make it longer or shorter which is really useful.
